Dr. Jürgen Claassen (54), Member of the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp AG, today has requested that the Supervisory Board suspend him from his duties as a Member of the Executive Board until further notice.
Dr. Jürgen Claassen: “With this step, in the face of the current news coverage, I intend to keep damage away from the company to which I have felt deeply connected for more than 28 years.”
The Supervisory Board will discuss this matter at its meeting which is already scheduled for December 10, 2012.
