A delegation from The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry has travelled to Chittagong to attend the Centenary Celebration of The Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The programme is being graced by Sheikh Hasina, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Bangladesh, who will also be inaugurating the first World Trade Centre (WTC) in Bangladesh.
The delegation from The Bengal Chamber comprises Mr. Sutanu Ghosh, president designate; Mr. Subhodip Ghosh, director general designate, and Ms. Angana Guha Roy Chowdhury, assistant director.
Mr. Sutanu Ghosh will be the only Indian representative on a panel discussion titled “Bay of Bengal Growth Triangle and the Southern Silk Route – Completing Vision 2021”.
He will be sharing the stage with distinguished speakers like Mr. AHM Mostafa Kamal (Minister for Planning – Government of Bangladesh), HE Benoit-Pierre Laramee (High Commissioner of Canada), Mr. Oleg Tonkonojenkov (Deputy Country Director, Asian Development Bank, Bangladesh), Mr. Hitoshi Ara (Senior Representative, Japan International Cooperation Agency), and Mr. Abdul Matlub Ahmed (President, The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry).

India and Bangladesh have an important role to play in advancing the development of South Asia,” said Mr. Sutanu Ghosh. “We welcome working with the Chittagong Chamber and look forward to tackling issues of importance.”
