New Delhi, 31st August,2015: JD Institute of Fashion Technology which focuses on creating the designers of tomorrow is the fashion partner of the event in which the designers of JD Institute will showcase fashion show on the theme’100 years of Indian Cinema’.
Students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology will showcase their collections on the theme ’100 years of Indian Cinema’ depicting India Fashion Internationally. This opportunity will provide a platform for the students to present their talent and imagination, thus, bridging the gap between Russian and India through fashion.
Fashion industry of India has seen a boom and gained popularity in world as a fashion centric nation. Earlier, not many people knew about India and Indian fashion. Today, Indian Fashion designers are well known faces in the International Fashion Industry. It is because of these initiatives which gives a student a platform to showcase their inherent talent and at the same time promoting Indian fashion internationally.
India is a diverse nation and doesn’t have a unique or a standard dressing style, this diversification of dressing style has given Indian fashion designers ample scope of creativity. Students of JD Institute of Fashion Technology performed in last year’s Indian Film Festival as well which happened in Norway in 2014.
Dr.Sarfraz Alam, Director of Indian Film Festival Russia (IFFR) says,”JD Institute is the only fashion college who has given maximum fashion designers to Bollywood Industry like Rocky.S, Falguni & Shane,Varoin Marwah, etc. I am really excited to see these young designers who will be representing Indian fashion here in Russia. Getting associated with JD Institute of Fashion technology is an initiative to bridge the gap between the two countries.
The Indian Film Festival will take place in Russia from 3rd September-6th September 2015 at Formula Kino Gorizont and Indian Cultural Centre KSRK, Russia. The four-day fest will bridge the gap between the two entertainment industries in the world – Russia and India. The festival will showcase more than six films from or about India. The festival also features live music and dance performances in which Russian dancers will perform on Indian classical music.
Bolywood celebrities who will be going to attend the festival include names of Ayushman Khurrana,Shoojit Sarcar,Madhur Bhandarkar and Tabu who has recently been seen in movie Drishyam.
Mr.Rc Dalal,Executive Director of JD Institute of Fashion Technology says ,”I think after Raj Kapoor,this is the second big thing that is happening in Russia. Russians have always loved Indian cinema and this shows the prominence that the film industry of India has gained. IFFR will become a landmark of Indian art cinema in Russia for years to come and it also provides Jediiians an optimum exposure to the various parts of the world. Getting associated with IFFR is a step closer towards my vision-taking fashion to another level.I thank Indian embassy for the support and making this film festival possible.
IFFR will showcase a blockbuster of Bollywood movies. The festival provides programming and activities that no other film festival in Russia offers and serves a community of Indian and international filmmakers that has the potential of reaching a crossover audience. IFFR offers the Russia community a unique opportunity to learn about India’s multi-faceted culture and long history of filmmaking.
The festival has received an overwhelming show of support from members of the Indian Film fraternity who have committed their time and resources to make the Festival a showcase of the best creative talent from India and around the world.
The Institute sets a new benchmark in innovative teaching methodologies for its students and giving them the best learning experience. The institute was established by Mr. Chandrakant Dalal with an intention to enhance the student’s worthiness and imbibe the nobler values of life in their receptive minds.
