Growing business during festive season sparks increase in bookings
With 95% of exhibitors having attained their objective of participating at Heimtextil India and 82% at Ambiente India, Diwali this year is expected to spell big business for the exhibitors of the two fairs. A host of new collections were presented by 162 exhibitors from 7 countries at fair early this year, many of whom have signed deals with the contacts acquired at the show.
According to retail industry experts, Diwali celebrations will continue to bring a glow in business numbers because of the increase in consumption and spends unlike other Indian festivals. Home and lifestyle industry players have been bullish on prospects with both big and small players coming up with Diwali focused collections, in keeping with the spirit of the festival. Many such collections were launched at Ambiente India and Heimtextil India this year sparking good tie-ups this festive season. Meetings with over 8,443 focused buyers from across the Indian subcontinent have resulted in strong business for exhibitors and visitors alike with new collections hitting the markets just in time for Diwali.
Mr Pankaj Saxena, Business Head & General Manager, Raymond Home said: “Heimtextil is the largest platform for portraying new ideas, thoughts and products in Home Textile industry today. We launched our 2016 Autumn-Winter collection at the Indian edition and received a tremendous response and started receiving orders from day one of the show itself. During this event we could connect with a lot of potential business associates eventually opening new avenues for us before Diwali. We are looking forward to Heimtextil India 2017.” Having launched its new collection at the show, Raymonds presented an eccentric design display and seasonal hues of the story of lavish living that buyers can now see in stores like Hyper city, Hometown, Walmart, Big Bazaar.
For Rumours, who have over 10 new collections out in stores this Diwali, Mr Gaurav Sureka, Director said: “Launching our latest collection during Heimtextil helped us establish a customer base for the biggest festive season of India. Heimtextil provides with opportunities to branch out to business-to-business trading and create a customer database.” Customers can view Rumours’ festive collections like Nash, Carbon, Duchess, Cayenne, Hypercity, English Cottage, Kalahari among others across major retail stores in the country.
Ambiente exhibitor, Mr Palash Agarwal, Proprietor, Vedas Exports said: “Heimtextil and Ambiente India fairs being centrally located not only attract good numbers but also provide quality visitors. The launch of our abstract wall décor collection received very good response. We’ve had serious buyers from different parts of the country who have closed deals with us. We have already recovered our investments made on the show even before its close and are very eager to come back for the next edition.”
Besides the retail and export segments, Heimtextil India and Ambiente India focused on bulk buyers from the architecture, interior designing and hospitality segments providing access to the fast-growing e-tailing, retailing and wholesaling segments across India which will continue to be the focus area for its upcoming edition. The next edition of this coveted home fashion business fair is scheduled from 20 – 22 June, 2017 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
