New York, NY, May 28, 2013: Ronnie VanderLinden, President of the Diamond Manufacturers & Importers Associations of America (DMIA) will participate in the panel “Protect Your Bottom-Line with the Diamond Source Warranty Protocol” at the upcoming JCK Las Vegas show. The panel, which will serve as an introduction of the Protocol to the downstream market, in particular the jewelry retail sector, will take place on June 1, 10:00-11:15 AM, at the Mandelay Bay Convention Center.

The panel will be moderated by Robert Bates, Senior Editor of JCK. Other participants are Cecilia Gardner, President & CEO of the Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) and Dave Bonaparte, President & CEO, Jewelers of America (JA).

DMIA President VanderLinden noted that there is a perceived interest in the downstream market, and in particular among human rights groups, governments and end-consumers, to assure that the players in the precious metals, gemstones and jewelry industries create greater transparency and accountability about their supply chains. “I am looking forward our interaction with the retailers’ public on this important topic,” he said

The Diamond Source Warranty Protocol is the new, voluntary approach to inventory management – jointly developed by DMIA, JVC and JA – to help individual businesses work with their suppliers toward a higher level of assurance with regard to their diamond sourcing.

This session is coded #422, and will take place from 10:00am-11:15am on Saturday June 1, 2013 in Tradewinds C, at the Mandelay Bay Convention Center.
