Dubai Maritime City Authority and NTA discuss development of services provided to commercial ship owners

Enhanced marine inspection mechanisms and customer services top agenda of joint meeting

In line with its commitment to deliver the best services to maritime customers in the emirate, the Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA) recently held a joint meeting with the National Transport Authority (NTA) to reveal a new initiative aimed at enhancing existing services provided to ship-owners in Dubai. The meeting, which was held at the DMCA headquarters in the presence of owners of commercial vessels and their representatives, discussed current challenges and the best ways to improve marine inspection services.

Dr. Saud Mohammed Ali Al Junaibi, Director of Operations Management and Maritime Safety at the National Transport Authority, attended the forum which shed light on marine inspection strategies that focus on matching the highest standards of maritime and navigational safety and operational efficiency of crafts across the Dubai coastline. Such strategies implement best practices and ensure coordination between industry-related government authorities and entities in Dubai and the UAE.

DMCA and NTA officials emphasized the importance of strengthening their joint cooperation in order to promote investment opportunities in the maritime sector and to provide the best services that meet the aspirations and needs of Dubai’s maritime sector stakeholders.
