ESET, global provider of security solutions for businesses and consumers, today published the threat report for India for the month of July 2013 by disclosing the findings that INF/Autorun.gen  has shrink to 3.52% from 4.04%  and Win32/Ramnit.A to 2.04% from 2.24% compared to June 2013 and Win32/Ramnit.A is also alarming. The report has been generated on a daily survey by ThreatSense.Net®.

ESET worldwide survey of 100 billion computer users uncovers some alarming attitudes towards

INF/Autorun.gen – a generic detection for an “autorun.inf” file created by malware. It can spread through spam, email attachments, malicious websites, unsafe downloads and many other ways.

Win32/Ramnit.A, which is a family of multi component malware that spreads to removable drives, steals sensitive information such as saved banking and FTP credentials and browser cookies. The malware may also open a backdoor to await instructions from a remote attacker. ESET is warning the users about all the malwares growing up on daily basis and reporting monthly.
