German engineered Thonet Vander Kurbis Bluetooth Speaker launches in the US

Kürbis boasts superior sound quality with a minimal distortion rate for a surprising price

Miami – June 8, 2015Thonet & Vander, a German audio company that specializes in merging technology and design for state of the art sound, announces the availability of the Kürbis Bluetooth speaker to U.S. consumers. With a mission to deliver sound and design quality at unexpected prices, the Kürbis features unique technologies that allow treble and bass to play at full volume with a minimal distortion rate. Made from HDAA™ high density wood that prevents loss of sound and featuring an antimagnetic shield that blocks out external interferences, Kürbis is a welcome addition to any home. With surprising audio quality and elegant aesthetics, Kürbis retails for only $199 and eliminates the need for an additional amplifier or receiver.

Thonet & Vander designs each speaker uniquely to perform at its best. All materials in production are chosen to enhance the sound and performance, and complement the company’s trademark technologies. Thonet & Vander took their inspiration from Bauhaus, the German design school that for the first time managed to reconcile an innovative aesthetic production with industrial machinery. Following this design model, the company’s purpose from the beginning has been to integrate art with modern technology.

The Kürbis is made from HDAA™ (High Density Acoustic Absorber) wood that prevents vibration and leakage of sound. Its Antimagnetic Shield ® isolates the sound of external interference so your musical experience surrounds you without interruption.  Bluetooth technology can finally be heard in a truly perfect sound environment. Through patented German engineering, the Kürbis boasts a minimal distortion rate. Users can turn to full volume without hearing any cracks, hums or interference.

Thonet & Vander’s Hammer Bass™ technology allows you to hear the bass in a deeper and adjusted way, magnifying the impact of low frequencies. Years of perfecting this technology allows the Kürbis to deliver a sound with greater fidelity. Even the Kurbis’ bass reflex is strategically located at the rear of the speaker to improve the bass response. Adding to the layers at the product’s core, Drone FX™ plays trebles clearly and naturally to enhance the detail in the entire frequency range. The combination of these technologies allows listeners to blast music at full volume with no distortion, delivering a flat sound with exceptional purity to transform any room into a semiprofessional studio.

The Thonet & Vander signature yellow drivers move to the beat of your music. Made of aramid fiber, the 5.25-inch woofer is extremely rigid yet light, contributing to its high performance. This fiber delivers outstanding thermal and mechanical resistance, making it adverse to shocks, light and moisture. Kürbis’ 1-inch tweeter is made entirely in silk, which is known for being very light and responsive, to enhance treble frequencies in a pure and crystalline way. Careful consideration of these materials in production delivers a sound intended to stir emotion, like only music can do. Self-powered with no need for an additional receiver, it’s effortless for users to put on their favorite Spotify playlist or Pandora station and feel the music.

Volume, treble and bass controls are located on the side of the speaker so you can easily tweak your sound based on the song you’re listening to for the best audio experience.  Harmonizing extreme bass and treble frequencies with a power output of 60W (30W + 30W), Kürbis delivers crystal and exceptionally pure sound.
