The President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck, will pay a state visit to India from February 4-9, and subsequently travel to Myanmar from February 9–12, 2014.
During his upcoming visit to India, the German President will focus on the vast spectrum of relations with Germany’s strategic partner. Political talks as well as meetings with representatives of civil society, visits to companies, a KV school and a development cooperation project figure prominently on his agenda in New Delhi and Bangalore.
The President will be accompanied by a high-ranking delegation, comprising representatives of the German cabinet and Parliament and business, among others.
