MUMBAI, December 17, 2012: Gitanjali Group, India’s leading Jewellery & Lifestyle brand hosted the Gitanjali 1000m Guineas at the Turf Club, Mahalaxmi Race Course in Mumbai today. The high-profile extravaganza witnessed a blend of luxury, glamour, sports and music. New generation bollywood actress Shazahn Padamsee was present to give away the trophies to the winners. The evening was followed by a power packed performance by the International pop star Iriana.
The Gitanjali Derby spells style and entertainment to the crème de la crème as well as racing aficionados. True to its brand association, Gitanjali Group made sure that the glitterati in Mumbai enjoyed their Sunday afternoon which was filled with thrill and excitement. Bollywood actress Shazahn Padamsee amongst others added the glamour quotient as they awarded trophies to the winning jockeys.
The grand evening culminated with a foot tapping musical performance by Pop singer Iriana. Her musical interpretations are unique expression of sentiments, melodies, rhythm , softness of emotions that awakes imaginations and memories.
