Known for its commitment to environment-friendly practices, LEED certified GoWork aims to encourage a healthy lifestyle
Gurgaon, May 2nd, 2018: Crisp suits, polished shoes, smart satchels and… fast bicycles? The last one doesn’t add up to the quintessential corporate image, does it? In GoWork’s co-working campuses, however, it does. With an aim to motivate its co-workers to adopt a healthier lifestyle, Gurgaon based, GoWork, also the world’s largest collaborative co-working ecosystem recently teamed up with Mobycy, India’s first dockless bicycle sharing platform, to enable last-mile connectivity on bicycles. As a part of the association, GoWork’s campuses will now have Mobycy’s bicycles parked at their campus gates and at the nearest metro station, IndusInd Bank Cyber City on the Rapid metro line to help clients easily complete the last-mile journey. The move is expected to save co-workers plenty of time and money spent on last-mile transportation, while making them fitter.
Mobycy has emerged as the number one disruptor in the last-mile mobility sector, actively penetrating densely populated regions such as Delhi-NCR. Its innovative dockless QR scan-based bicycles can be unlocked by scanning the QR codes and upon completion of the ride, can be parked anywhere in the vicinity. Although the platform has associated with government agencies, Universities, corporates etc. in the past, this is the first time it has teamed up with a co-working space provider, as it aims to inspire modern professionals to practice alternative commuting options that are beneficial to them individually and to the society at large.
GoWork, on its part, has always strived to incorporate green practices in its day-to-day operations and design, and it has even been Platinum certified by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) as a ‘green building’ campus. Both of its campuses in Gurgaon are equipped with verdant green lawns, lots of potted plants as well as energy-efficient lighting to ensure minimal impact on the environment. The co-working space also encourages its clients to adopt environment-friendly practices such as using bio-degradable material and offers facilities such as gyms, fitness sessions, etc. to keep health hazards at bay. The current association, while offering a long-term sustainable, and enjoyable means of last-mile transportation to clients, also ensures protection of the environment.
Commenting on the latest development, Sudeep Singh, Co-Founder and Chief Evangelist, GoWork said, “Through this association, we aim to reaffirm our focus on supporting green initiatives and the need for modern professionals to adopt healthier practices. Bicycles are an ideal option to facilitate last-mile connectivity and are highly popular in many Western countries as the ideal way to get to work. It gives us great pleasure to be the first co-working space to associate with Mobycy and utilize its services for the comprehensive benefit for every professional who works on our campuses.”
Akash Gupta, Founder and CEO, Mobycy added, “In this day and age of desk-bound work, healthier commuting options are necessary to keep modern professionals active and efficient. At GoWork, we found the ideal space to further popularize our vision of developing a fitter, healthier workforce by popularizing cycling as an enjoyable last-mile transportation option. GoWork’s clients can now easily access our bicycles at the nearest metro station and within its campuses and adopt an eco-friendly mode of commute to resolve their last-mile travel woes. We hope this association goes a long way in supporting the cause of a better, healthier environment and work culture. Serving our corporate colleagues has emerged as a huge use case over our last few months and we have plans to ensure we provide this facility to every corporate with large workforce.”
As an added incentive, Mobycy also plans to announce milestones and prizes for GoWork’s employees, such as ‘Rider of the month’ for someone who has taken the maximum number of rides or travelled the maximum number of kilometers on its bicycles. Users can avail the first ride for free, thus beginning their journey towards a healthy and environmentally sustainable way of commuting on a happier note!
