Henko LINTelligent awarded ‘Product of the Year 2015’

Mumbai, March 25, 2015:‘Henko LINTelligent’, the premium detergent brand from the house of Jyothy Laboratories Ltd., the home-grown FMCG Company, has been awarded ‘Product of the Year 2015’ in the detergent category. The consumer survey on product innovation, co- conducted by ‘Product of the Year’ and Nielsen is the largest survey in India. This year, the survey was undertaken with 7000 respondents across 8 cities and awards were given for as many as 14 categories.

In a glittering ceremony in Mumbai, the award was accepted by M R Jyothy, Whole-time Director at Jyothy Laboratories and the architect behind Henko LINTelligent.

After taking over Henkel India, the premium detergent brand ‘Henko’ that was part of Henkel portfolio, had to be differentiated in order to make inroads in the highly competitive detergent category market. In order to create a unique positioning, the R&D at Jyothy Laboratories went beyond stain removal to offer a product with lesser LINT removal with Nano-Fibre Lock technology that lead to the launch of Henko LINTelligent in June 2014.

Since launch, Henko LINTelligent has bagged many laurels to its kitty namely The Indian Marketing Awards 2014 organized by Exchange4Media and the Asia Star Packaging Award 2014 for excellence in packaging. The brand was also ranked No. 8 in the Economic Times Most Trusted Brands under the fabric care category for the first time ever.

Currently in the seventh year of its India chapter, ‘Product of the Year’ is a prestigious global award existing in 42 countries that honours the best innovations in fast moving consumer goods and durables since last 28 years. It empowers customers to identify the best innovations among the latest introductions in the market, making it a credible and unbiased system that helps consumers find the best from a plethora of products.
