Wales has been appointed by ICC as a host venue for 2013’s ICC Champions Trophy competition in England and Wales. The ICC Champions Trophy will take place from 6 – 23 June 2013 at Cardiff Wales Stadium in Wales and other 2 venues in England. There are five games in Cardiff, including the championship’s opening game takes on 6 June, with India playing South Africa and a Semi final on Thursday 20 June.
This year also marks the 40th anniversary of international cricket in Wales. The first game was England v New Zealand in 1973 played at St Helen’s, Swansea, with England winning. England remain unbeaten in Wales – often aided by the weather!
Tickets are extremely good value. Under 16 tickets from £5, under 21 tickets from £10, and adults tickets from £20 in the family stand. This means a family of four can watch a whole day of top international cricket for just £50.
