Institute to hold INDIAPACK PACPROCESS 2017 exhibition, Indiastar 2017 and PacMachine Awards 2017 awards in New Delhi between October 26 and 28
October 10, Delhi:The Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) – the central apex body for promotion and packaging standards – will be holding three of its biggest and most popular events between October 26 and 28 in New Delhi.
The 7th edition of INDIAPACK PACPROCESS 2017, the biggest professionally-run packaging exhibition in India will bring a comprehensive range of products, equipment, services and technologies from across the world to meet the sourcing requirements of high value buyers. The global-level exhibition on packaging and allied sector will be held between October 26 and 28 at Pragati Maidan. On the sidelines of this event, the International Summit for Packaging Industry (ISPI 2017) will also be organised on October 27 and 28 at Hotel Eros in New Delhi based on the unique theme: “Packaging – The Growth Driver”.
Concurrent to these events, a glittering function will be held to give away the final awards to the winners of the prestigious Indiastar 2017 and PacMachine Awards 2017. The function is scheduled to be attended by industry stalwarts, previous award winners, government representatives and foreign delegates.The Indiastar Awards that were instituted in 1972 aim to encourage excellence in packaging design, innovation and sustainability. Since 1992, the IIP also confers the Pacmachine Awards to motivate manufacturers in the packaging machinery for development of packaging machinery in the country.
This year, the Indiastar Awards created a record by receiving the highest number of entries – 624 – for a year. The quality of nominations too has been extremely promising reiterating the credibility and competitive spirit of the awards.
IIP had organized its first exhibition in 1969 in Mumbai with 47 companies exhibiting on a total area of 220 sq. meters with the vision to promote the Indian Packaging Industry and allied sectors through trade fairs and conferences. With the successful presentation of exhibitions since the last 48 years under the brand name of ‘INDPACK’ and ‘INDIAPACK’ this year’s showshas been planned as the largest ever packaging show with the aim to bring various segments of the packaging industry together under one umbrella.
