The former students of FIITJEE’s South Delhi Center talk to a gathering of over 2000 and share crucial preparation strategies and tips
New Delhi, 20 Jan 2015: Students preparing for crucial engineering exams like IIT-JEE and others had a golden chance to interact with previous years’ toppers who successfully made it to premier institutes at a Seminar conducted here today by FIITJEE, India’s eminent institution for IIT-JEE coaching.
The seminar saw participating students seek guidance from Arpit Agrawal, Kartikeya Gupta and Srajan Garg — IIT-JEE toppers for the year 2012, 2013 and 2014, respectively.
Over 2000 students thronged the Siri Fort Auditorium where the seminar was held. The toppers’ trio interacted with the students for around two hours, sharing with them their strategies which helped them crack the most prestigious exam with flying colours for entry into IIT-JEE.
They gave valuable insights to students for obtaining the best results in JEE Main, JEE Advance and other competitive exams such as KVPY and various Olympiads (National & International). The Champions gave the aspiring students very useful tips, while also letting them know about the personality traits and values acquired from FIITJEE’s South Delhi Center where they studied.
Eminent Educationalist Mr. Gaurav Tiwari also addressed the Seminar. He shared his notable experiences over the years of having taught candidates who made a mark, besides providing the mantra to achieve success in their endeavours.
Majority of the participating students were those who have started preparing for engineering from a stage as early as class IX.
Cracking IIT-JEE in today’s cut-throat competitive environment is not a child’s play. It requires not mere aptitude but the right attitude as well. Needless to say, correct guidance and good mentors go a long way in shaping the route to a student’s academic success. The seminar helped to share these concerns and elucidate the importance of starting early in one’s preparation for IIT-JEE in order to have an edge over others.
“It is not just the theory that the students need to be expert at, but also analytical thinking and logical reasoning to create the correct solution to a problem. It goes much beyond merely a function of a student’s ability to understand concepts. To crack exams like IIT-JEE, hold on concepts, analytical thinking and logical reasoning are a must. FIITJEE realized this long back and our training methodology involves developing the deep conceptual understanding and analytical ability of a student along with the right mix of attitude and examination temperament,” said Mr. R L Trikha, Director, FIITJEE.
Personal interactions between the toppers and FIITJEE’s experienced faculty were the distinguishing features of this forum. The Seminar provided a platform to the students to know and asses themselves in terms of focus, skill sets and support needed to fulfill their aspirations. It was their virtual window to a world of possibilities which can steer their career as well as life with excellence.
