New Delhi, June 18, 2018: One97 Communications Limited, that owns the brand Paytm, which is India’s largest payments company offering multi-source and multi-destination payment solutions has added a host of new features to ‘Inbox’, its in-app messaging service that allows users to chat with friends and family, send and request money at the same time. The Users would now be able to access in-app Live TV, News, Cricket, Entertainment Videos and Games on-the-go for free.
Paytm has been running a comprehensive beta testing among its users for this new service and received a very favorable response. The platform is now rolling out the full stack service under ‘Paytm Inbox’ on its app. It has partnered with several content providers to ensure the best of Infotainment delivered right to the users.
This further strengthens Paytm’s position as a super-app offering deeper user engagement. The company expects a surge in the number of sessions per users while increasing the time spent on the app with this offering. It currently has over 120 Million monthly active users and expects a strong growth with this. The platform will also focus on regional content which will further help strengthen the adoption in small cities and towns.
