Travelling in style: InnoTrans 2016 focuses on Travel Catering & Comfort Services
Berlin, 8 September 2015 – Travelling by train gives one an ideal opportunity to sit back and enjoy the professional service offered on board. Wherever there is competition for new passengers the feelgood element has become increasingly important and is also an economic factor. Travel Catering & Comfort Services, an expanding part of the Interiors section at the world’s leading trade fair for rail transport technology, also reflects this development. The eleventh InnoTrans will be taking place from 20 to 23 September 2016 on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
National and international exhibitors from the travel catering and services sector will be among those showcasing innovative galley technology and luxury items for travelling by train in the future. The companies exhibiting will benefit from being in direct contact with their main customers, who are transport companies and vehicle manufacturers.
Newrest, a French company and one of the world’s leading providers of catering and on-board services, has already secured a place at next year’s fair. “For Newrest InnoTrans is a bi-annual event the company cannot afford to miss, where we can meet our customers from around Europe in a single place. The fair also gives us a regular opportunity to stop work for a moment and take a look around. We want to see what we have achieved over the last two years, what our partners and customers are offering and what we need to aim for over the next two years”, said Stefanie Titze from the Newrest Communications Department.
Besides Newrest, numerous other global companies have already registered for this section at InnoTrans 2016. They include Kelox from Spain, which specialises in galley equipment; Multi Rail, an Italian manufacturer of turnkey solutions for dining cars, bars and galley equipment; and Rex-Royal from Switzerland, which produces coffee-making machines.
Between 2012 and 2014 exhibitor numbers in the Travel Catering & Comfort Services section more than tripled, with international companies accounting for over 70 per cent. More than 90 per cent of exhibitors said they would be back for InnoTrans 2016. Specially organised themed tours of the section taking in exhibitors’ stands also await trade visitors at next year’s fair.
