Two Minute Silences observed to pay homage to Former President APJ Abdul Kalam
New Delhi, 3rd August, 2015: JD Institute of Fashion Technology recently conducted an orientation programme for new students at Sirifort Auditorium,New Delhi. Mr.Rc Dalal,Executive Director of JD Institute of Fashion Technology and Ms.Rupal Dalal,Director of JD Institute of Fashion Technology addressed the students and motivated them.
As many as 200 students and teachers of the institute participated in the day long orientation programme of the institute.
The purpose of the Orientation Day was to introduce faculties of the institute to meet their new team members. Many teachers valued this opportunity to do some preparation which will ease the burden on the staff at the beginning of a new year.
The orientation event witnessed a wide range of activities such as formal inauguration, interaction with the alumni, overview of different departments and infrastructural facilities, city tour and different cultural events, etc.
Jigar Mali, young Fashion Designers and Ex-Jediiians attended the Orientation Day programme and shared their experiences with the students. They also gave tips, what do’s and don’t, the students should follow to become a successful designer.
Jazba e Junoor.the Rock band also performed at the event and was a treat for the people who love Hindi rock, Sufi fusion and Bollywood music, as well.
Earlier, two minute silence was observed to pay homage to former President APJ Abdul Kalam.
Mr. Rc Dalal, Director of JD Institute of Fashion Technology said,”The three M’s – Momentum, Mindfulness and Magic – are important in life. No life can be stagnant and momentum comes through energy and enthusiasm. Mindfulness is living the moment. Students should not only be physically present but their mind should also be at the same place. Explaining “magic”, he said students should take inspiration and it is always good to have heroes to take inspiration. ”
The Executive Director added that technology should be the facilitator not master. Enjoy hobbies like photography and music that would help increase concentration.
Ms. Rupal Dalal,Director of JD Institute of Fashion Technology said,” It was important to represent the college, its students, parents and community in a positive light. Teachers will return feeling enthusiastic about the year ahead.
