“The standard we have set for ourselves is to offer our customers systems with cutting-edge technology that give them the best product quality in a constantly growing market segment. This gave us the opportunity, when expanding our product portfolio, to once again select KraussMaffei Berstorff as a system supplier with innovative technological expertise,” explains Alfred Bourseaux, Owner and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kabelwerk Eupen AG. “We are already using QuickSwitch lines from KraussMaffei Berstorff to produce HDPE pipes for a variety of diameter ranges. Our experiences with the inline dimension change system, which allows us to change the pipe dimensions quickly during ongoing production, could not have been better. This makes it possible to respond to changing market requirements with great flexibility. In addition, this enables us to guarantee high delivery availability,” confirms Michael Göbels, Operations Manager for Pipe Extrusion at Kabelwerk Eupen.

In addition, the KME 38-30 coextruder and an outer layer adapter are being used to retrofit the existing line with the 160 mm diameter range.
