Dubai Smart Government’s section spans 3,800 square meters and features 37 government entities showcasing the latest smart solutions and app services
Dubai, UAE – October 14, 2014 – Kingsmen, a leading communication design and production group, has set a new record in the exhibition industry history of the Middle East and GCC region for the design and production of the largest exhibition pavilion for Dubai Smart Government during their participation at this year’s edition of GITEX Technology Week 2014, the ICT business gateway to the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia region, which will run from October 12 to October 16, 2014 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The pavilion, which measures 3,800 sqm, includes 37 Dubai government entities and its latest offerings of smart solutions and app services.
According to Kingsmen senior executives, this is one of the region’s largest exhibition pavilions that was built and constructed by a team of 180 workers over five working days. During its off-site construction process, the team had to conduct several lab and configuration tests to customize a device that was designed to mirror wired smart phone connections to LED screens. A total of 22 kilometers worth of data cables were strategically positioned within the pavilion, ensuring wired connectivity for all participating agencies. In addition, to reduce the Dubai Smart Government’s carbon footprint on the environment, the Kingsmen team used recycled materials for journey props and VOC-Free ink for all printed graphics utilized for displays.
Sumaia Khalifa Bin Hammad, Director of Communication and Business Development Department, Dubai Smart Government, said: “We laud Kingsmen Middle East LLC for building the largest exhibition pavilion at GITEX Technology 2014. The immense efforts put in by Kingsmen’s team to ensure that the pavilion’s design and structure met the highest standards are truly commendable. We are satisfied with the result as this feat helps us garner greater interest, enabling us to showcase and highlight our high-quality, customer-focused smart and e-services to a large number of people. Equally commendable is the environmentally-friendly aspect of the pavilion, which also complements our eco-friendly initiatives to promote environmental sustainability in the emirate. With the success of this endeavor, we hope to replicate this achievement in other relevant major events in Dubai in the future.”

The design for Dubai Smart Government’s pavilion at GITEX Technology Week 2014 reflects the journey of society engaging with its host government. The pavilion provides a visual and digital kaleidoscope of exciting technologies, new breakthroughs and visionary developments. This engaging experience encircles a plaza of casual conversation areas where visitors can meet with government representatives for personal and more detailed presentations via the Touch Phone Kiosks.
The result is an immersive environment that aptly showcases Dubai Smart Government’s active role in the move to transform the emirate into the world’s most prominent smart city.
