Ramat Gan, Israel – February 28, 2013: Three household names stand out on the roster of lectures that will be held during the inaugural US/International Diamond Week at the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE), March 17-20. Thomas (Tom) Mozes, Senior vice president of GIA (the Gemological Institute of America), Chaim Even Zohar, CEO of Tacy Consulting and Martin Rapaport, of Rapaport Co. will be at hand to enlighten, each from his own perspective, both visitors and participating IDE members with their insights of the current state of the global diamond industry.
Martin Rapaport, industry analyst journalist and polished diamonds price list guru, will speak on March 18, under the header he usually chooses: “The State of the Diamond Industry.”
Thomas Mozes, Senior vice president of GIA, will address the burning issues that keep GIA on it toes, among others on treatments, syntethic diamonds and recent research. He will speak on March 19.
Chaim Even Zohar, author of “From Mine to Mistress,” and publisher of Diamond Intelligence Briefs (DIB), will speak on March 20 and offer the findings of his latest analysis of the diamond supply pipeline.
“We’re very pleased to have these three eminent speakers on our lecture roster,” said IDE president Yair Sahar. “In today’s diamond market, change is the only constant we have, and members of our trade need to keep themselves apprised of recent developments. I am sure that each speaker will deliver the goods.”
Buyers will be offered four free hotel nights at the Leonardo Hotel, located opposite the Ramat Gan diamond exchange complex. The complimentary hotel accommodation is being provided courtesy of the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI).
