Letv wins orders of 1 million top-notch Superphones from Thailand’s Win IPTV

letvtLetv, China’s leading Internet and technology conglomerate, inked an exclusive deal with Thailand’s Win IPTV, during its visit as part of the delegation group of China’s Chamber of International Commerce to Thailand. The company has won orders of 1 million top-notch Superphones and half a million Super TVs.

As the only Internet company being invited, Letv joins hand with Win IPTV, which marks a significant milestone for Sino-Thai collaboration in the industry. Both parties have agreed that Win IPTV purchased 300,000 units of Superphones and 150,000 Super TVs from Letv in the first order. It will increase to 1 million units and half a million respectively in 2016. Noticeably, this is the second over-one-million order that Letv secured within a short span of time. Prior to this, the company has received another remarkable order of 1.3 million Le 1s from China Unicom. Apart from the contract in supply and sales level, they also plan for further cooperation in terms of content operation, based on Letv’s powerful content ecosystem.

Win IPTV, a leading operator and device retailer in Thailand, owns a number of TV stations and telecom network licenses as well as over 1,000 retail stores across the nation. Its business is also built on an ecosystem incorporating content and devices, which well resonates with Letv’s innovative and leading concept of ecosystem.

It is noteworthy that Letv has already gained certain awareness in Thailand, though they did not officially enter in this market yet. Some analysis shows that Le Superphone currently ranks top 6 in terms of the market share. The mobile phone market in Thailand has seen great potential, with the fast developing internet infrastructure in recent years.

According to Feng Xing, Senior Vice President of Le Holdings Co Ltd. and CEO of Le Mobile, Thailand plays a significant role in Southeast Asia with almost 700 million population. It is one of the most crucial markets for Letv. The partnership with Win IPTV will tremendously enhance Letv’s competitiveness in Southeast Asia. Letv may not be the first to be present in Thailand market, but it aims to bring services and products of best quality to the country.

Letv’s newly launched Superphone Le 1s has amazed the mainland China market with 1 million units sold in November alone in China. Le Max, the company’s flagship high-end smartphone beat other brands in the past months as the most popular mobile brand in China. Some experts comment that Le Mobile, the Chinese rising mobile brand, empowered by its strong vertically integrated ecosystem, creates products with excellent cost performance.

Letv, founded in 2004 by Jia Yueting and Liu Hong, is a fast growing internet and technology company with a wide range of businesses including TV, mobile phone, electric vehicles, sports, music, movies and TV shows. The company will soon step into India. With the unique strength of Letv ecosystem, India fans should expect the coming launch of its eco-products.
