The 27th edition of IIM Lucknow’s Annual Business Conclave is here.
The 27th edition of Manfest, Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow’s annual business conclave, is all set to be held from 17th-19th January, 2014.
The theme for Manfest 2014 is “Thresholds of change: Crossing the Rubicon”. As our country stands on the brink of a major metamorphosis, it is imperative that we brace ourselves for the onslaught and emerge victorious. Manfest, through its varied management competitions and leadership events seeks to identify and hone these very skills, paving the way for the torchbearers of change.
Management competitions at Manfest 2014 are aimed at uncovering avant-garde ideas, situation-analysing acumen and sound management expertise. From purely intellectual contests to talent identification platforms for corporate, the events at Manfest are aimed at solving real time management problems.
The flagship events like ABG Excelsior, SBI Biz Quiz and ITC Call for Arms, aimed at uncovering leaders of tomorrow, have witnessed a tremendous response for the preliminary rounds. Witnessing participants from Top B-schools across the country, the finals are expected to be fiercely fought to the end.
In addition to these, Manfest brings about a deluge of domain-based competitions, which feature case competitions to test future managers across domains including finance (L&T Finesse), marketing (GSK Marketing Moguls), strategy & policy framing (WGC Stratstruck) and supply chain concepts (Reckitt Benckiser’s Ozone). With INR 16 Lakh in prize money and 19 PPIs at stake, the management events at Manfest are a golden opportunity for B-school students.
The Icons segment, which has traditionally featured the biggest thought leaders across the globe will play host to several industry stalwarts this year including Harsh Mariwala, CMD, Marico Ltd., Siddharth Roy Kapoor, MD, The Walt Disney Company India and Nila Madhab Panda, Director of “I am Kalam”.
The Young Leaders Program, with the aim of bringing personality changes in students and creating budding leaders of tomorrow is back at Manfest 2014. The event will witness workshops by eminent personalities including Varun Agarwal, Founder of Alma Mater, Adhvait Duddu, CEO, Alive Now and Arun Sharma, CAT Guru. Students will have a chance to interact with these icons from highly diverse fields in order to have a better understanding of what it means to be at the very top of the pyramid and what it takes to reach there.
Under its social initiatives, Manfest’14 launches the fourth edition of the highly successful event Yajna – The Pan-India NGO Challenge, partnering with HelpAge India (India’s biggest NGO) that will get NGOs, corporate and students coming together to solve critical social problems of the day, in different Indian cities. The selected solutions, upon acceptance by HelpAge India will be implemented to these real-life problems. Under the Prerna Fellowship, 20 social entrepreneurs, who have contributed to the upliftment of society, will be felicitated with the “Prerak” award and trained by IIM Lucknow’s Centre for Sustainable Development, with a view to encouraging and enhancing their efforts.
Also scheduled for the 19th of January is the Lucknow City Run, in association with UPNRHM, UPSRTC and Women Power Line 1090 which seeks to promote “Safety for Women”.
No Manfest is ever complete without its share of entertainment artists. This time in store is Pepsitainment, exclusively at IIM Lucknow’s Manfest, which will feature the UK based sensation RDB, with hit songs like Singh is Kinng, Aloo Chaat and Sadi Gali to name a few. Exciting informal events, open to all Lucknow Junta, will add flavour to the three days of Manfest
