- MG Group to exclusively design and manufacture the buses
India, July 31, 2017: MG Group, India’s largest privately owned Bus Building Company, today announced the ceremonial handover of the 1st ‘‘SHIVSHAHI” bus to Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) during Prawaas 2017, at CIDCO Exhibition Centre in Navi Mumbai. The announcement was made in the presence of Honorable Minister of Transport, Khar Land Development, Government of Maharashtra, Shri Diwakar Raote, and the senior management of MG Group. In total MG Group has bagged an order for the delivery of 250 buses.
Under this association, MG Group was responsible for exclusive conceptualization and further manufacturing of the Luxury A/C Seater buses for MSRTC. The composites and some bus electronic components were made in house by MG Composites and MG Grey Engine.
