Montegrappa has accompanied for three years the prestigious Anacapri Bruno Lauzi Award, which has reached this year its sixth edition and was won by the Neapolitan group “Titoli di Coda with the song “Se ci fosse l’amore”. The splendid voice of Irene Scarpato and the guitar of Marco D’ Anna won over the jury of the competition for emerging singer-songwriters and their as yet unpublished songs.
Luigi Negroni won the award for best lyrics for the song “C’è bisogno”. The artist from Cosenza confirmed himself as a sweet and refined chansonnier.
The award for the best music was given ex aequo to Dalila Biondi with “Briciole di noi” and to Catania’s Fabio Abate with his lively and engaging “Agatina”.
Irene Scarpato was also awarded the Alessandra Cora Prize for the best female artist.
Decreeing the winners was a jury composed of Maurizio Lauzi, Bruno’s son, Edoardo Vianello, Carlo Marrale, Franco Fasano, the journalists Franco Di Mare, Mimmo Carratelli and Giampaolo Longo, of the record producer Alberto Zeppieri and the singer Piero Cotto.

In Teatro Paradiso, bursting to the gills, the highly anticipated Giuliano Sangiorgi, leader of Negramaro, swept everyone off their feet with a unique performance. Accompanied by Raffaele Casarano on sax and Marco Bardoscia on upright bass, he treated everyone to a moment of high artistic level.
The frontman of the rock band from Salento sat at the piano and the magic began. Three pieces interpreted in a superlative way in tribute to Bruno Lauzi and to the music of singer-songwriters. “Ritornerai”, “Il Poeta” and “Ottobre Rosso”. Emotion, feeling and intensity.
The singer of Copertino was awarded the Special Prize Anacapri Penna d’Autore 2013 for songwriting and writing. Sangiorgi has recently published his debut novel entitled “Lo spacciatore di carne” (published by Einaudi), visceral and passionate portrait of a generation struggling with the future.
The Anacapri Penna d’Autore Prize 2013 for journalism went to Franco di Mare, an extraordinary journalist and presenter for the national network, RAI.
Twenty years of efforts as a war correspondent and skilful writer. With a personality and talent that is uncommon.
Diana Aquila, daughter of Giuseppe Aquila, CEO of Montegrappa, presented an exclusive fountain pen dedicated to Elvis Presley to the winners Sangiorgi and Di Mare. It is a true gem in gold and resin created by the skilled craftsmen of the company from Bassano del Grappa.

During the gala event, conducted by the journalist Marino Bartoletti and the actress Francesca Ceci, all the artists remembered Roberto Gianani, a special man, creator, organiser and artistic director of the event who had recently passed away. Six years ago he really wanted to create something unique that would make an affectionate tribute to his friend Bruno Lauzi. From that friendship, this award was born, which seeks to be a prestigious showcase for young artists in the memory of the great Genoese poet.
Edoardo Vianello had dedicated a tender tribute to his friend Franco Califano, interpreting “Da molto lontano”, “Nun dormi manco te” and “Semo gente de borgata”, the last number in a duet with his daughter Susanna.
Maurizio Lauzi’s performance dedicated to his father, Bruno was very moving. Maurizio told of the greatness of his father with words, music and poetry that had accompanied him since childhood.
Roberto, we are going to miss you…
