Thomas-Cook-logoMinistry of Tourism with the support of stake holding states has identified 600 tourism projects in the country to be placed before the international and domestic investors at the first Incredible India Tourism Investors’ Summit (IITIS) scheduled in Delhi between September 21 to 23, 2016.  These projects, according to Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, will encompass theme parks, adventure tourism, cruise tourism,  coastal tourism projects, hotels and resorts.

The first Incredible India Tourism Investors’ Summit is an excellent initiative by the Ministry of Tourism. India as a destination needs to showcase the opportunities in the sector and this is the best way to attract investment; and with an estimated Rs 50,000cr worth of investment opportunities on offer at the Summit, indeed significant! My Inbound Team at Sita-TCI and I are particularly encouraged by the holistic approach taken that spans adventure tourism, cruise tourism, coastal tourism projects, hotels and resorts, theme parks, etc. The current Government’s economic policies are tourism friendly and with Invest India involved, I am confident this will be a successful event with a catalysing impact to India tourism- across inbound yes, but equally Domestic, MICE and b-leisure” – Dipak Deva – Managing Director of Travel Corporation (India) Limited
