European market leader to showcase ground breaking on-the-go payments device at Cartes conference in Las Vegas
Having been the star attraction at Cartes Asia in Hong Kong, mPowa is once again expecting to make a significant impact as they look to build connections throughout North and South America. Las Vegas will play host to market leading technology exhibition Cartes Secure Connections Exhibition and Conference, with mPowa headlining the mobile payments area of this innovative businesses event.
Dan Wagner, mPowa CEO said, “Our recent ground-breaking deal with Portugal Telecom (PT) has already given us a presence in South America, with PT’s significant connections in the continent. We want to follow up our first-of-its-kind European deal with a similar deal in South America.
“We are looking at banks and telcos across both North and South America and advanced discussions are already taking place with a view to securing deals. The US has a number of local and regional banks which would be ideal partners to continue our strategy of white labelling our mobile technology. The vast geographical expanses across both continents present logistical challenges to businesses that need to take payments but also be mobile, making mPowa particularly pertinent; the device can span distances that have previously been a road block to business progression.”
mPowa works by using a free mobile phone app and a reader which connects to a smartphone or mobile device via Bluetooth. It enables companies and individuals to accept card payments from their customers on the go in a quick and convenient way.
mPowa will be exhibiting at Cartes America at the Mirage in Las Vegas on 23-25 April as part of its global expansion. mPowa will also be speaking at the conference sharing innovation from projects in Europe, Africa and Latin America. mPowa will be available for press interviews and discussions with interested parties looking to implement mobile payment solutions into their businesses.
