About the book
Viva Latino Español 2 decodes some of the very intricate details of the Spanish grammar through very easy to follow formulae and resources such as ‘El Balance’ and ‘Zona Cafeteria’. It articulates very illustratively core concepts of the language through skill building exercises under the methodology ‘SWIRRL’. For the very first time there is a dictionary in 3 languages – Spanish, English and Hindi making it much easier for the Hindi speakers to learn the language. The book includes very special section on ‘Swachh Bharat’ and interestingly, the book, throughout its journey, narrates conversation between an Indian origin student ‘Sanskaar’ (meaning ‘Culture’) who engages a seeking learner in a journey to understand this beautiful romance language – Spanish. With all these striking inclusions it has been very rightly referred to as a pioneering ‘Make In India’ initiative in the realm of foreign language teaching in our country.
Speaking on the occasion, the ecstatic author, MsShalu Chopra says, “Quote from Shalu”- It has been a living dream and passion for me over the past decade to share my learning experiences from my teaching sessions. Viva Latino Español 2 is a manifestation of that vision and the exciting journey. It builds on the phenomenal success of the first level book Viva Latino Espanol 1, which within the first year of launch has been adopted as a text and reference book in some of the top schools, universities and professional Institutions of the country.
Coming from a creative background I made my own interpretations of the construct of the language, and then tried to deconstruct like a chef to present the ingredients of Spanish with a Latin American flavor. Looking forward to more discoveries and sharing along the journey! I am deeply indebted to the gurus of the language and the entire Latin American Diplomatic community who have collaborated with us and critiqued my work for it to be appreciated as much.
