One hashtag has succeeded in enabling a platform for thousand of stories to unite in a bond called ‘Delhi’ . Delhi I Love (@delhiiloveyou) set out this online storytelling competition, with support from Delhi Government and Twitter India, to enable a positive shift in the image of the city. Through three weeks, eminent members of literary community are choosing the best forty Tweets to be painted on public walls by the city’s signboard painters. The first winning Tweet of #MyDilliStory was recently painted on the walls of Saket City Hospital.
Delhiites are proud of all that their city collectively has to offer and the best Tweets stand testimony to their love and pride. Some of the top Tweets that have surfaced during this campaign indicate that Delhiites have called their city the ‘heart of India’, for it is a blend of cultures, traditions and languages.
