 Hong Kong, 21 May 2015 – The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) had accepted the membership application of TsingShan Iron and Steel Group during the organisation’s 19th Annual Conference in Hong Kong on 20 and 21 May.
Originally established in Wenzhou of China in year 1992 and currently headquartered in Shanghai, Tsingshan Iron and Steel Group now has six regional groups spreading in eastern and southern China and expanding its dramatic investments in Indonesia and Africa with total round 20,000 employees.
Tsingshan is fully focused in stainless steel production, and has already formed an integrated stainless steel industry chain from mining, shipping, smelting, stainless steel-making, rolling and finished products including stainless steel coils, plates, sheets, pipes, wires, rods, bars etc. In year 2014, Tsingshan produced about 4.53 million tons of stainless steel, which accounts for 21% of China total and round 11% of world total. In year 2014, Tsingshan is honored to be ranked as 233 in China Top500. With help of its strong innovations in technology and business running, Tsingshan world-first initiatively created integrated novel stainless steel production process named RKEF-AOD by combining the NPI production and stainless steel making. In year 2014, Tsingshan produced about 87 thousand tons of nickel contained in NPI by transferring laterite nickel ore into value-added products.
