In the run-up to the Delhi Queer Pride march, Zubaan Booksm Nigah and Oxford Bookstore invited the Delhi queer community to turn the music over to them, to narrate their stories. There were no themes and no rules, just a safe space, and the critical element of queer voices.

 

Oxford Bookstore Connaught Place invited the prepared and the extempore, the poems that rhyme and the ones that don’t, the song, the one-act play, the rant, the love letter, the knock-knock jokes, bad puns and good ones- bring anything you’re wearing on your sleeve, anything you want to share in any language and form on the ninth in the Oxford Bookstore- Zubaan series of Critical Conversations, What’s a conversation without OUR voice(s), without YOUR voices(s)?’ on 25th November, 2014.

 

 

Delhi Queer Pride march is a parade for diversity, acceptance, solidarity and resistance. It is held annually by the Delhi LGBT community every November since 2007. This year the Delhi Queer Pride Parade is on November 30th, Sunday at 3.00pm onwards. The queer pride is a yearly festival to honour and celebrate gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and their supporters. The parade will start from Barakhamba road- Tolstoy Marg to Jantar Mantar.
