New Board member brings wide experience of international business
London, 21 May 2014: Sally Capp, an Australian lawyer who has held a number of senior positions in banking and government, has been appointed to the Board of the Commonwealth Business Council.
She was the Agent-General for Victoria in London for three years where she promoted economic opportunities to businesses in Europe and Israel to facilitate capital investment and job creation in Victoria. She returned to Australia in July 2013 to take up a role with KPMG.
“We are delighted that Sally has agreed to join the Board as she brings a wealth of experience in market development and investment,” said Lord Marland of Odstock, Chairman of the Board.
“I have a particular interest and experience in trade and investment, stakeholder engagement, working with governments, and taking strategy to implementation, all of which will be part of the work that as Director of the Commonwealth Business Council I will be involved with,” said Sally Capp. She added “I am really looking forward to working with the team and helping to grow the organisation’s presence in the region and globally.”

About the Commonwealth Business Council
The Commonwealth Business Council CBC was founded in 1997 by the Commonwealth Heads of Government (CHOGM). It is a not for profit membership based company. It is funded and managed by the private sector and does not receive dedicated Government funding. The CBC was formed as a Company Limited by Guarantee and is governed by a Board of Directors appointed by the CBC Membership.
