Dubai– June 12, 2014: SanDisk, the global leaders in flash memory has announced its special edition Cruzer Pop USB flash drive, designed by world renowned Brazilian neo-pop artist and painter, Romero Britto. The flash drive, available in retail stores in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), is inspired by the upcoming Football World Cup and will be featured on the 8GB Cruzer Pop USB flash drive.
“We are pleased to work with an international artist whose acclaimed work speaks volumes,” said Tareq Husseini, regional sales director, SanDisk Middle East and Africa. “Britto’s unique design displayed on our Cruzer Pop celebrates the rich and vibrant culture of Brazilian life and SanDisk is proud to be a part of this.”
The drive also includes SanDisk SecureAccess Software, which provides secure file encryption and password protection for private files.
Combining elements of pop art and graffiti, Britto is a self-taught artist who began painting at an early age. “I was interested in making a colourful product that truly reflected Brazilian culture, as was SanDisk,” said Britto. “It was important to design a product that consumers would find appealing and could draw inspiration from.”
