-Flash and Freeze Mob with Painting Competition were organized to spread the message
New Delhi 21st October 2013: One of the top shopping destinations in Delhi,DLF Place Saket with its continued efforts to work for the benefits of the society, is all set with their CSR campaign ‘Say No to Crackers’ this diwali season. The Mall with its ongoing association with NGO’s and various Social groups has conducted a trail of interactive events to educate people
. The management recently conducted interactive events and activities like Flash and Freeze Mob, Painting and Poster making competition for kids to spread the social message across the society
.‘Nadaan Parindey’, Fusion style of Flash & Freeze Mob to Fight against Child Labour.was organized in association with The Education tree. It is a sincere attempt to help these kids against the brutality of life that they have to face and bring a sense of realization in the society as to how these children get victimized. The act revolved around the ongoing campaign at DLF Place Saket “Say no to Crackers”, as Child labour is majorly exploited in the fire cracker factories. Mega flashmobs in which more than 50 dancers gave a fun based dance performance and further was amalgamated with a theatrical gig. At regular intervals, freeze mobs were performed wherein different placards carrying messages against child labour.
Amid splashes of colour, palpable excitement and very creative minds, DLF Place Saket in collaboration with The Empowerment NGO had organized Painting and Poster Making competition. More than 50 kids from the age group 4 to 15years participated. The competition comprised of three categories Group A- 4yrs-7yrs; Group B- 8yrs-11yrs; Group C- 12yrs-15yrs. The theme of the competition was Say No to Child Labour and Say No to Air Pollution.
The kids were allowed to use the medium of their choice for their painting. While some used crayons, others preferred oil paints, water colours and even colour pencils. The children came up with very innovative drawings and paintings, with some focussing on the subject they had chosen and others paying more attention to the technique.
Winners of the competition under each category Group “A”Simran khurana (1st Prize),Aryaman (2nd Prize), Tanvi (3rd Prize), Group “B” Saksham Pruthy (1st Prize), Rohit Gupta (2nd Prize), Noor (3rd Prize), Group “C”Jiya (1st Prize), Nitya (2nd Prize), Ishaan (3rd Prize). All the winners were gratified with prizes from Hamley’s
All the artworks made by kids will be exhibited at the mall till 30th of October.
