Mumbai, 23 April 2018: A day different from the other days’ on campus was the annual convocation of the 2016 Batch, Autonomous Programs, S.P. Mandali’s Prin L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development and Research (WeSchool), Mumbai campus. Gracing the occasion were the esteemed panel of trustees, Shikshan Prasarak Mandali Trust. Hon’ble Chief Guest, Ms Shalini Singh, Head – Corporate Communications, TATA Power and TEDx speaker; Smt. Madhuri Misal, MLA, and Trustee, S.P. Mandali’s Trust; Advocate Shri S. K. Jain, Chairman, Managing Council, S. P. Mandali and Local Managing Committee, WeSchool; Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool and Dr S. R. Tendulkar, Dean, Administration awarded the certificates to the graduating students. Parents, faculty and noted academicians such as Dr Suhas Pednekar, Ramnarain Ruia College and Dr Shobhana Vasudevan, Principal, R.A. Podar College of Commerce were also present to witness the ceremonious and an inspiring event.

Jain, Chairman, Managing Council, S.P.Mandali and Local Managing Committee, WeSchool advised the students saying, “The annual convocation is the completion of one among the many goals you aim. Today is the beginning of a new journey. I hope you realize your dreams and make your own mark in all your future endeavours. I urge you to look beyond being mere employees and foster the spirit of entrepreneurship. With all the lessons you have learned on campus, I hope you rise up through the ups and downs of your life and achieve success.”
While appreciating WeSchool as a credible platform to accelerate career, the honorable Chief Guest, Ms. Shalini Singh, Head – Corporate Communications, TATA Power and TEDx speaker, impressed the value of perseverance on the students, saying, “You belong to a generation that knows to change, learn and adapt without being constrained by limitations. It is heartening to see how this generation is brimming with new ideas and learning new things every day. It is this hunger that takes people ahead in life and not degrees, diplomas, money or pure academic excellence. Life is a strong story of character-defining experiences. And I hope you have developed the wisdom to understand the psychology of the people who work with you. I hope you have been able to discover who you are and have become self-aware. Without sounding philosophical, I would like each one of you to know that there is a reason for our existence. And that purpose is to better ourselves and achieve our highest potential.”
Congratulating students at the onset of a new journey, Prof. Dr Uday Salunkhe, Group Director, WeSchool advised the students saying, “The place of a learner is highly valued in the VUCA world.
