Mumbai, 18th August 2017: Ms. Radhika Aggarwal, Co-Founder of ShopClues, India’s largest e-commerce marketplace, was today honoured with ASSOCHAM’s Entrepreneur of the Year award on the occasion of World Entrepreneurs Day 2017. The ceremony was part of a one-day National Conference that was held today at The Leela Palace, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi.
The purpose of the conference was to celebrate and promote India’s entrepreneurial talent and their achievements. Radhika Aggarwal is being acknowledged as India’s most successful internet entrepreneur and the first and only woman in the Unicorn Club.
The event was attended by Minister of Development of North Eastern Region, PM Office – Dr. Jitendra Singh who presented the award to Ms. Aggarwal at the meet.
Ms. Radhika Aggarwal, Co-Founder and CBO, ShopClues, said, “I am honoured to be chosen for this award by ASSOCHAM. The challenges of being an entrepreneur are the same, for men and women. I believe that both men and women entrepreneurs should be treated equally. I now see it as my responsibility to foster young talent of both sexes and set a good example of reaching for excellence.
