MMMC starts a joint venture with Canvas CAM to form a new pr and digital content production dream team.
Johannesburg, South Africa – MMMC (Mofolo Media Marketing Communications) is elated to announce its new partnership with Canvas CAM (Casting Artist Management) for a joint venture into the world of influencer driven branded content production for both brands and broadcasting networks alike.
”The impact of using social media influencers to enhance digital content has been an undeniable success in the world of marketing in recent times so it was really a no-brainer for us to align ourselves with a company that specializes in breeding popular personalities,”said MMMC’s Chief Brand Communications Consultant, Thomas Mofolo. Canvas is home to a number of South Africa’s most popular emerging TV stars such as Natasha Thahane and Oros Mampofu – two burgeoning young thespians who have become as equally popular on the small screens of our smartphones. In addition to racking up a number of accolades including SAFTA’s and Emmy nominations, Canvas’ talent has amassed a significant social media following well into the hundreds of thousands and millions.
Through our strategic partnership with Canvas, we’ll be able to create bespoke branded content concepts coupled with exclusive collective and individual access to a variety of South Africa’s hottest talent as the face, voice, influencer or presenter of their digital content. Part of Canvas’ arsenal also includes a diverse range of writers who are able to conceptualize and script different creative projects for TV and other media. Our desire is to go beyond just helping brands tell better stories but to also provide a familiar face that can share those stories in a truly engaging and memorable way. Canvas represents a wide variety of public figures, actors, voice over artists, TV personalities, and writers – since their inception they have provided talent to premium brands such as Remy Martin and Steers. Some of their talent are the stars of South Africa’s most popular lifestyle content on shows such as ‘Skeem Saam’, ‘Generations’ ‘Isibaya’, ‘The Queen’, ‘Scandal’, ‘Saints & Sinners’ and many more. Canvas is committed to nurturing local youth talent and has produced on-screen stars for major broadcasting networks including MTV, Mzansi Magic, ETV, BET and SABC. “As a team, we at Canvas CAM are delighted and expectant for this collaboration with MMMC and look forward to impacting our local industry by providing revitalized, dynamic and powerful talent,”said Canvas’ founder, Anna Hlalele. MMMC will now take on the role of publicist and pr manager for Canvas talent and oversee their brand partnerships, media coverage, digital communications and contet management.
This new partnership with Canvas marks the first step in MMMC’s ambitions to become the premier destination for sourcing local creative freelance talent for digital content projects. Over the past few years we have been a part of some exciting partnerships that required us to build specialized small teams of creative talent to conceptualize and craft various branded content and now we would like to officially represent and manage that talent through strategic partnerships like this one with Canvas.
