Mumbai 2016: SriLankan Airlines hosted an Awards evening to celebrate the success of its best-performing travel agents and cargo team in India. The Awards were based on the performance of the Agents over financial year 2015/2016.
The evening commenced with the welcome dance by the Srilankan local dancers and the lighting of the traditional lamp by the chief guest of honour & dignitaries which later followed with a speech delivered by Mr. Siva Ramachandran, Chief Commercial Officer of SriLankan Airlines, Mr Lalith De Silva, Regional Manager – Indian Sub-Continent of SriLankan Airlines, and Consul General -Mrs. Saroja Sirisena.
The event was attended by the senior management of Srilankan Airlines and the staff of the airline’s Sales Department which works closely with the country’s travel agents.
The Gold Award was presented to Riya Travels Mr. Thampy, Chairman & Managing Director for Highest Revenue Contribution. Ms.Sheeba Antao Snr. Manager – Supplier Relations of Cleartrip won the Best Online Portal Passenger award, while Akbar Travels and Mr. K.V Abdul Nazar Managing Director won an award for Highest Passenger Number Contribution. Award for CARGO was won by- Mr. Abhijit Samant of JTB Jupiter Express Pvt Ltd.
The Silver Award was presented to Galaxy Freight Pvt Ltd and Bronze to Cargomar Pvt Ltd.
Awards of Appreciation were presented to Thomas Cook India Ltd, Cox N Kings, Veena World, SOTC (Kuoni), Kesari, Blue Star,Ezeego1 travel & tours Ltd , J B Travel and Tours, Travel Boutique Online, Instone Travels, Trinity Global Logistics Pvt Ltd, Zeus Air Services Pvt Ltd, Modern Cargo Services Pvt Ltd, and Channel Freight Services Pvt Ltd.
