Gurgaon : At a time when everyone is soaked in festival fervor and is busy celebrating the season with his family and friends, students of Lancers International School decided to celebrate it with a difference. They visited Tau Devi Lal Old age home to brighten up the lives of senior citizens.
The students spent over two hours at the old age home and interacted with the senior citizens. They even gave a jazz performance to entertain them. The Jazz performance was led by Rainer Langhans, Head of Music at Lancers International School with MYP students.
“It was an enriching experience to visit an old age home and interact with elders. These elders are lonely and neglected by society. One must never forget the contribution of elders who play an instrumental role in our upbringing and shaping our personality,” said Jaden Thomas, a grade 8 student of Lancers International School.
Even the inmates of the old-age home were full of praise for students of Lancers International School. “We appreciate that students of Lancers International School took out their valuable time for us. It is always thrilling to watch students growing up,” said Prema Devi, an inmate of Tau Devi Lal old -age home.
“We, at Lancers International School, believe in giving back to society by doing our bit . Therefore we decided to celebrate the festive season with a difference. We look forward to contributing more to society in future,” said Mr. Rohit Mann, Director, Lancers International School,Gurugram.
