New Delhi, 6th Feb, 2016: For the first time, Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) came up with an initiative,”SIAM Fighting Fake”, centered on the theme of anti-counterfeiting during the Auto Expo 2016.
The campaign was aimed to encourage the use of genuine automobile parts and bringing the awareness about the benefits of real versus fake products among the people.
The campaign was essentially a competition between a number of colleges of Delhi/NCR in which the students had to prepare a piece of art work on the theme”Real Verus Fake”.
Students of JD institute Of Fashion Technology won the second prize in Art & Design Category. Out of the three groups from JD institute who participated, two groups grabbed the second prize with a tie and one won the third prize. The first position was won by Jamia Millia Islamia , New Delhi.
Mr.Rc Dalal,Executive Director,JD institute of Fashion Technology said,” Art invites us to think rather than telling us what to think. This is one of its great powers, and if you make your art accessible and beautiful enough, people will want to follow where the thought goes. I congratulate my students who came up with the right balance of art and message which can move both hearts and minds at the Auto Expo 2016.”
Students who won the second prize came up with the concept of weights model which says we calculate everything in life then why not get serious in weighing the importance of genuine spare and bogus spare in automobiles.
The 13th edition of the Delhi Auto Expo which kicked off on Tuesday has been organised in Greater Noida and is likely to attract over 6 lakh visitors over 5 days. An estimated 7 lakh visitors are expected during the expo.
Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Zaheer Khan, Mohinder Amarnath and top racing driver Karun Chondok have already come to lend some of the shine of their stellar names to the vehicles on display at the Auto Expo 2016.
