Sula Vineyards and Sula Selections’ Global Brand Ambassador, Cecilia Oldne who also heads up Sula’s International business, hosted an exclusive Sula Degustation Dinner at Sanctum in Bangalore on the 5th of July.
Cecilia Oldne was accompanied by celebrity Chef Silvia Grimaldo who also is the Head Chef at Vinoteca by Sula, Mumbai’s first tapas and wine bar. Chef Silvia has crafted the menu at Vinoteca by Sula with authentic Spanish tapas, pintxos and dishes that transports guests back to the sunny beaches of her hometown, Ibiza. Her menu at Vinoteca by Sula is paired with an extensive list of wines from Sula Vineyards and Sula Selections along-with a great offering of top beers, cocktails and spirits.
The ladies brought to this one of a kind Degustation Dinner at Sanctum their expertise in pairing Sula’s wines with delicious Spanish food. Wines from both Sula Vineyards and Sula Selections were selected and paired with the menu. Guests got a chance to sample the finest wines from Sula Vineyards and Sula Selections. Each of the wines, be it the elegant Sula Brut Rose to the premium Dindori Reserve Shiraz from Sula Vineyards or be it the outstanding Chilean Cono Sur Chardonnnay to the Cono Sur Pinot Noir from Chile and Sula Selections’ portfolio, all paired to perfection with the authentic Spanish world class food. A highlight of the evening was the Salmon in a lemon and dill sauce with fresh asparagus and guest also praised Chef Silvia’s juicy Aubergine cake with molecular Mozzarella. The elaborate dinner finally ended with a scrumptious dessert of poached pears in Dindori Reserve Shiraz with toffee cream and pineapple carpaccio.
Cecilia and Silvia were seen mingling with the famous entrepreneur Dimple Varma and her husband Rajiv Varma, Raj Chinai and his lovely wife Betsey along with Baba Chandok and Manoj Varma the directors of Sanctum. Also present were Suman Ranganathan and Rhea Bhandari who made this evening even more glamorous. The wine, food, ambience and great conversation ensured a memorable experience for all the diners and members of Santum.
