In its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of ThyssenKrupp AG extended the contract of Executive Board Chairman Dr. Heinrich Hiesinger until September 2020. Hiesinger has been Chief Executive of the Essen-based industrial and technology group since January 2011.
“Under Heinrich Hiesinger’s leadership, the Strategic Way Forward has set the course for the restructuring of ThyssenKrupp into a diversified and sustainably profitable industrial group and significantly changed the company’s corporate culture. In the last three years the Executive Board has stabilized the Group financially and at the same time invested in ThyssenKrupp’s future,” said Supervisory Board Chairman Professor Ulrich Lehner. He continued: “The Supervisory Board values the consistency, sense of moderation, and also the steady hand with which Heinrich Hiesinger and his Executive Board team have implemented the extensive changes. The company is on the right track.”
