UAE capital’s authority for waste management works round the clock to ensure rally leaves nothing behind in the desert
Abu Dhabi, UAE, 28 March, 2018: Accommodating an 800-strong contingent of rally competitors, technicians, officials, medical staff, volunteers and media, the bivouac is the beating heart of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge Powered by Nissan, and looking after it is a round-the-clock operation during the event.
Ensuring the rally leaves nothing behind in the desert of the Al Dafrah Region is a task carried out meticulously by a team from waste management specialists Tadweer.
Dr. Salem Khalfan Al Kaabi, the Deputy General Manager of Tadweer said: “The presence of Tadweer as a strategic sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge 2018 aims to provide a healthy and sustainable environment throughout the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. For this reason, we have provided supervisors, workers and mechanisms, in addition to all hygiene requirements. The team will be available around the clock to remove the waste from the rally Bivouac for the sake of the preservation of cleanliness.

The rally will finish at Yas Marina Circuit at 3.30pm tomorrow.
