TCS signs MoU with The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI)to support the institute’s digital transformation initiative

ICAI will leverage TCS iON Digital HUB to provide easy access to the institute’s academic content and also assist students in enhancing their vocational skills

Kolkata,March 30, 2017:Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization today announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI). As part of the MoU, ICAI will deploy and leverage TCS’ Digital Content Market Place Platform – Digital HUB to drive the institute’s digital transformation efforts. ICAI’s digitization efforts through TCS iON Digital HUB will aim to provide improved services to students &members allowing them easy access to the vast knowledge base of the institute.

The MoU between TCS and ICAI will involve multiple areas of collaboration. TCS iONwill bring Vocational & Skill Courses to ICAI students & its members through iON Digital HUB.  To begin with, both organizations will launch courses on “ERP Basics” specifically designed for ICAI students to enhance their skills in this area. Additional Skill Certification courses will be introduced to ICAI students over the coming months.In addition, iON Digital Hub will enable ICAI to publish Institutes Certification Programs. This initiative will help provide easy access to Certification Courses of the Institute to a larger section within corporates and the academic community. TCS iON and ICAI will also partner to offer GST training to traders, manufacturing organizations, students and State Government officials in a digital mode. This exercise will combine the domain experience of ICAI with the technology capabilities of TCS iON backed by its extensive national reach through iON Digital Zones.

The MoU with TCS will benefit ICAI students by enabling them to access the institute’s course content along with industry relevant skill content from anywhere, anytime.  Members of the institute can also get an improved experience on their continuous professional development.

The iONDigital HUB is a Content Market Place bringing professional institutions with rich content and learners together. The Hub offers multi modal learning content including Courses, Assessments, Communities and Events.  It enables educators and trainers to deliver instructor led courses using social learning tools and at the same time provides a unique opportunity to learn at their own pace. The iON Digital HUB caters to learners across wide segments from K 12 to working professionals.
