Batlivala & Karani Securities recognised as the leading brokerage firm; UBS and ICICI Direct share second place
Mumbai, July 7, 2014 – Thomson Reuters today announced the winners of the 2014 StarMine Analyst Awards for India. This is the fifth year in a row that StarMine presented its awards to the top stock analysts and brokerage firms in India.
StarMine, a leading provider of objective ratings of securities analysts, measures the performance of analysts based on the industry excess returns of their buy/sell recommendations and the accuracy of their earnings estimates. The 2014 awards are based on the performance of recommendations and estimates on companies that are based in India during 2013.

Analysts are awarded prizes in three main categories: stock recommendation performance relative to specific industry benchmarks (Stock Pickers), accuracy in forecasting earnings as compared with peers (Earnings Estimators) and brokerage firms whose analysts win the most awards (Most Award-Winning Brokers).
