Mumbai, 12th February, 2015- Tourism Toronto recently hosted some of India’s leading companies to an exciting evening of cocktails and dinner. Gracing the occasion was Mr. Mark Crawford- Director, International Business Development, Tourism Toronto who was participating in a sales mission to India for the first time. The event provided an excellent opportunity for Mr. Mark Crawford to not only greet the Indian MICE market but also provide indepth insights on product offering.
Tourism Toronto collaborated with Jet Airways and Starwood Hotels and Resorts who in turn invited some of their prestigious corporate clients to meet Mr. Mark Crawford. The evening witnessed presence of over 70 corporates that included guests from TATA Communications, HDFC Bank, Aditya Birla Group, Glenmark and many more of India’s top notch companies.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Mark Crawford, Director, International Business Development, Tourism Toronto, said,” I had been eagerly waiting to visit India especially after the splendid response we have received from the market within our first year of business. As is known, the Indian outbound market is witnessing a rapid growth which includes large movement on the MICE front. We are keen to capitalize on this boom by illuminating the amazing resources that Toronto possesses to host large numbers.”
The event ended on a high note due to attractive surprises that were given away by the partners. Jet Airways and Starwood Hotels and Resorts showered two lucky guests with prizes such as a 3 night stay for a couple at the Westin Harbour Castle, Toronto, a 3 night stay for a couple at the Sheraton City Centre, Toronto and 2 Business class tickets on Jet Airways to Toronto and back. Winners were picked through a lucky draw.
