Mumbai 11th February 2015 : Welingkar in association with Round Table India and Ladies Circle India, took an NGO Initiative to construct a school for slum children. VivaConnect, a Mobile Media Company with largest infrastructure for Voice and Missed Call Services in India, was the Mobile Marketing Partner of the event. They promoted this noble event through their digital platforms. The event took place on 8th Feb, at Birla Matoshree Sabhagrah.
The project required a total sum of 30 Lakhs. In order to raise fund for the initiative, they conducted a play with Sharman Joshi, named ‘Raju Raja Ram Aur Main’ , with tickets ranging from INR 300 to INR 1500, along with sponsorship opportunities.
The event was promoted enthusiastically by VivaConnect so that maximum funds could be raised for the cause. They utilized their digital platform, OBDs (OutBound Dialing), to spread the awareness about the event, and to urge the people to donate generously for the cause. Mr. Vikram Raichura, Managing Director – VivaConnect said, “ We are glad to be a part of this noble initiative. It feels wonderful to contribute in such events, as nothing can help a nation more, than a school for deserving but underprivileged children.”
The event was a huge success, with high executives, technocrats and professionals from various industries as its audience. Raju Raja Ram Aur Main, was a story of mixed-up confusions following the life of Madan Sukhnandani – an old but rich industrialist, his young wife and his loyal yet disloyal personal assistant. The performance was followed by a huge applause, with tears of joy in many eyes. Extravagant comedy, aesthetic acting, and a noble initiative gave the event a mesmerizing touch.
