The bi-annual Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games) 2015 will be happening in a few days. This multi-sport event will see the 11 countries of Southeast Asia come together to compete across 36 sports! No matter you like sports or not, it’s definitely one of the biggest events in the year, as the games have generated a lot of buzz in the cities! Are you ready for the games?
YouGov, as the global leading online polling and survey firm, has also polled 6,000 people from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines to find out how would SEA people involve in the games, their preference on games, and how they predict the game results.
Highlights from YouGov poll results:
· Watching it on TV (71%) and reading about the latest updates on newspapers (48%) are the two most popular ways people see themselves keeping up with this year’s SEA Games.
· 30% of all the people we polled think Thailand will win the most medals this year, including other Southeast Asians.
· But with Singapore having the advantage of home ground, it garnered just enough votes to nudge it to second place with Indonesia closely behind! |
