Youth Beat

‘Youth Beat’ is a journal aimed at students to develop their general awareness and keep them abreast with the latest information from all around the world in multiple domains across cross-functional industries. It will introduce the youth to wholesome knowledge through a variety of interesting stories.

With education having become global, Youth Beat aims to deal with education from a different perspective that demands radical change. This is because the prevailing system is focused on achieving high grades and this may put unnecessary pressure on the students and even create obstacles in their overall growth and development. The aim of Youth Beat will be to trigger a change that will inspire, motivate and prove to be extremely beneficial.

The new journal will provide a platform for the youth to connect and interact with each other. Youth Beat will cover subjects from politics to entertainment, from top universities abroad to top universities in India, from technology to recreation, from science to general knowledge. The diverse themes will cover articles on adventure, sports, real life motivational stories, conflict resolution, problem solving, personality development, life skill education and human stories of courage and inspiration. The journal is a magazine for students to develop their skills and become all-rounders instead of just imbibing knowledge that comes from aimlessly reading and memorizing facts. The idea is to make learning a fun process and create an interest in societal changes by taking the young readers on a journey in reading, thinking and sensitizing which is as diverse as diversity can be.

Youth Beat is designed to be a magazine by the students, for the students. It will give unlimited opportunities to students to read, write, develop and succeed. All students will have opportunities to explore the journalistic, graphic, photographic or critical faculties in them as most of the content will come from students themselves. Besides students can access all information they always wanted to know about diverse options of courses available in various universities in India and abroad, their eligibility and procedure for admission etc. Youth Beat will periodically conduct inter-school/inter-state competitions to promote healthy interactions and help students achieve developmental milestones.

Youth Beat plans to reach out to all students of all categories of schools: Public, Government and KVs across India, bringing to students in metros as well as small towns a whole new world of interesting and motivating stories.

About Campus Needs

Campus Needs has worked on developing and enhancing the learning experiences of students in choosing the right education mode, university and also helped in services like visa procurement, Pre-Visa mock tests, guidance over online application forms etc. Assistance is provided for students wanting to pursue their under-graduate studies, post-graduate studies and MBAs in the country and abroad.

Ajay Solanki who is just 31 years old is a B. Tech in IT from ITM, Gurgaon (2005) and alumni of DJP school. This young dynamic entrepreneur and social innovator worked for five years as an outstanding project head in One 97 Private Ltd. But he knew his destiny lay beyond, and now he is all set to revolutionize the way education is perceived. He demonstrated courage and conviction in stepping out of a secure job only because he decided to follow his passion to do something creative.

Even as Campus Needs progressed, Ajay was bothered by another concern: the youth were losing their good old reading habits with the onset of new technologies like the Internet. He felt the need to create a resource which could become a ready-reckoner and personal companion to guide the students by motivating them to acquire knowledge through interesting stories and expositions.

This is how the idea of Youth Beat was born and Ajay has fulfilled his dream of gifting modern teenage students with a magazine that he envisions will provide students multiple solutions to their various needs, and create umpteen opportunities for their holistic growth and development.

Despite the crunch of finances, resources, expertise and facilities, Ajay has persevered in fulfilling his dream. Ajay attracted and navigated an excellent team: some young college interns and some highly experienced educationists. The team saw in his dream a promise to fulfill what they had felt deprived of when in school.

Besides Ajay also plans to diversify Campus Needs into Education Tourism and organize Study Overseas opportunities with a completely new approach.

For a young Ajay whose father expired when he was still too small, the journey was always beset with challenges, which he has learnt to meet head-on. Ajay is married to Hema, who is writing her thesis for PhD in Philosophy and are parents of baby Shirali who attends Adayant preschool. He dotes on his mother and is blessed to have two very talented brothers, Tasveer and Tajveer, who are also doing exceptionally well, and a happily married sister. He enjoys close ties with his extended family of aunts, uncles and all friends and relatives.
